Privileges The Recreational Pilot Permit allows the holder to conduct flights within Canadian Airspace with one passenger during daylight hours under visual flight rules. RequirementsThe Transport Canada Recreational Pilots License examination must be passed with a minimum score of 60%. The minimum age to solo is 14; however, one must be age 16 to hold a license. A category 4 medical is required. A Transport Canada examination in Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation and General Airmanship must be written. A Transport Canada flight test must also be completed.
